These 2 Nandhivarman have changed my thinking pattern about Kings. We will talk about Nandhivarman 2, to understand this we need to know why these old time leaders have gone to Kambujadesam to bring their King. Few generations before their ancestors had 2 brothers. Elder one crowned as King of Pallava Kingdom from Kanchipuram and younger moved to current Laos region and formed Kambujadesam and ruled there. When Parameswaravarnam a Pallava King was killed by Vikramadhithya 1 in battle field, he died without heir. So the elderly leaders decided to travel to Kambujadesam. They brought a 13 year old boy to Kanchipuram and named Nandhivarman and gave the Kingdom. This incident connects the dots how did Cholas know about கிழக்கு சீமை, Siam, Kadaram, Kambujadesam and had closer relationship.
